In Matthew 10:34-39, Jesus gives one of His most challenging teachings: “Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword.”
What did He mean by this? Jesus reminds us that following Him requires ultimate loyalty, even above family, comfort, or our own desires. The call of Christ is costly—it divides light from darkness, truth from deception, and demands that we take up our cross daily.
